Carrollton's Barge nets school scoring record

Ansley Barge established a new career scoring record for the Carrollton High School girls' lacrosse program on Thursday night.

The senior standout netted three goals in the Lady Trojans' 14-6 win over Darlington at Grisham Stadium, giving her 152 over the past four years, pushing her just past former record-holder Leigh Anne Turner for the top spot.

Along with the three goals from Barge, Carrollton (6-8) had a five-goal performance from Kaly Colquitt, while Cate Paul also scored three, Ansley Underwood added two and Kitty Carter scored one goal.

Hailey Alewine recorded 17 saves in goal.

Carrollton JV girls 14, Darlington 6: The Lady Trojans were led by Caroline Lord with four goals, while Sarah Grace Spruell, Kate Albertus, Hope Gresham and Meredith Traylor scored two each and Karley Hildebrand and Lillie Cary each had one.
