The Carrollton High School precision air rifle squad finished in fourth place at the GHSA State Riflery Championships on Saturday at the Pool International Shooting Complex in Fort Benning.
The Carrollton High School precision air rifle team stayed on target for a return to the state championships by firing past Statesboro in the sectional showdown on Friday afternoon behind a 1,146-1,042 decision at the Ag Center in Carrollton.
Carrollton High School’s Riflery team brought home the first-place trophy as well as a plethora of individual accolades at the 2017 Gary Anderson Invitational on December 1st - 2nd in Anniston, Alabama.
Carrollton High School edged out Lander Jr. Rifle Club 1481 to 1461 last week in the National Air Rifle League. Their second win in a row, Carrollton High School is in fourth place in their Division with a 2 - 3 record.
