The Carrollton High School boys' cross country team finished in eighth place at the Run at the Rock Invitational hosted by Woodland High School on Saturday.
The Trojans were led by a pair of top-10 individual performances with Joshua Beam placing sixth in a time of 17 minutes and six seconds, while Collin Jones came in seventh (17:16).
Rounding out Carrollton's finishers were Austin Rosencrance (18:54), John Tumi (19:05), Juan Hernandez (20:39), Noah Samples (20:54), Austin Griffies (21:11) and Ethan Morrison (21:44). Brayan Cortez had a strong showing in the JV race with a second-place finish (19:39).
The Lady Trojans finished ninth overall led by Elizabeth Aguilera (22:47). Rounding out the runners for the Carrollton girls were Annika Trotter (24:16), Audrey Best (24:45), Sam Peavey (25:40), Sophie Naguszewski (25:43), Ana Hernandez (26:46), Georgia Noori (26:52), Gracie Conn (27:20) and Kaydee Martin (27:05).
The Trojans will host the Carrollton Orthopaedic Invitational this Saturday.
